Manuka Cottage is a two-storied wooden home is situated directly across the road from the access-way and one minute's walk from the beach with views of native bush and hills and a sea view out to Great Mercury and Great Barrier islands. It comfortably sleeps up to 7.
The feature of this house is the large, private deck, sheltered from the road by native vegetation, and a large new deck out the back of the house away from the road. There is a barbeque on both decks, a patio heater on the front and soon to also have one at the back, making either area a pleasant place for outdoor dining as well as for day time use. There are picnic tables, sun umbrellas and recliners available.
The house has three bedrooms, one of which has a queen size bed. The front bedroom has three single beds and a great sea view. The downstairs bedroom has two single beds. All bedrooms are curtained, have drawers and bedside lamps. Floors throughout are polyurethaned with mats. There is an upstairs toilet; with vanity and a small fridge and opposite is a large hot water/drying cupboard.
The open-plan living area has two sofas, an upholstered armchair and a variety of other seats, bookshelves and small tables, books and pictures. A large dining table seats everyone. There is a telephone and several transistor radios.
The kitchen is amply equipped with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils; a toaster, hot water jug, microwave, electric stove, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is a separate freezer in the back entry hall where the washing machine is situated. Water supply is from a storage tank and there are water filters on the kitchen taps.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin/vanity.
There is a separate garage.
It is a non-smoking house except outside on the decks.
Well-controlled pets are welcome. Pets allowed outside only.
