- Hot Pools in Athenree. Located at the northern end of Tauranga Harbor, a short 5 minute drive down the road. Athenree Hot Pools, are hot, natural mineral pools set in tranquil, park-like settings. A friendly welcome and clean facilities are guaranteed, as the pools are emptied nightly, cleaned and refilled fresh each day!
- Visit Mayor Island trekking the fantastic walks, viewing both the native bush, coast lines and the beautiful lakes that this Sacred Island has to offer you.
- Spend the day at Tuhua Marine Reserve which was established in 1993 to protect marine organisms and their habitats for present and future generations.
