Rata Lodge-Sleeps 27 maximum
The Rata lodge is situated on an elevated site overlooking the tidal estuary and river meeting the Tasman Sea. A great site to watch the famous West Coast sunsets and twilights. The spacious, equipped, shared kitchen and dining room with stone open fireplace, face a backdrop of native forest clad hillside. This pleasant retreat is ideal for individuals, families and larger groups, sleeping up to twenty-seven.
Beds: 3 bedrooms. 3 double and 3 single handcrafted bunk-style with foam mattresses over slats in each room.
Linen: Pillows but no bedding nor towels supplied.

Riverview Home-Sleeps 8
The Riverview home is on an elevated natural site overlooking the Mokihinui River and Buller Bay coastline with a picturesque backdrop of subtropical native forest. The house offers a well equipped kitchen with a large central living area, comfortably furnished. An open fireplace adds cosyness. The beach and river can be reached by foot within 5 minutes. When used in conjunction with the nearby Rata Lodge it is an ideal venue for group gatherings such as family occasions, corporate retreats, weddings etc.
Beds: 4 bedrooms, 2 queens, 4 singles, 1 double fold out sofa.
Linen: Duvets, pillows and some blankets are supplied. Sheets, towels etc not supplied but can be hired.

The Beach Cabin, nestled below the subtropical forest, and has a view of the sea with only a minutes walk to the beach. Its private, sheltered location makes it a great place to relax and get away from it all. The cabins open plan lounge/kitchen is comfortably furnished and well equipped.
Beds: 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 set of single bunk beds, 1 double fold out sofa.
Linen: Pillows and duvets supplied. Sheets, towels, etc, not supplied but may be hired.

Cabbage Tree Beach Cottage
A two storey 'woodsy' beachfront home on an elevated site from which views of the Coast, Nikau and Rata forest can be enjoyed in the open plan living/kitchen area. The balcony puts you right amongst the natural scenery as does the courtyard with its open fire place for outdoor leisure.
Beds: Two bedrooms, each with a queen, 1 double fold out sofa.
Linen: Pillows and quilts are supplied. Sheets, towels etc. may be hired.

Gentle Annie is within an hour from many scenic attractions of the Northern Buller Region - north to Kahurangi National Park, Heaphy Track, Oparara Valley with it's Limestone Arches and Honeycomb Caves; and south to Charming Creek Walkway, Denniston Plateau, Cape Foulwind Seal Colony and Punakaiki Pancake Rocks. The region maintains much of its eccentricity and wilderness, offering an opportunity to get close to nature.
