Tatapouri by the Sea is a holiday park located just 10 minutes from Gisborne on State Highway 35, arguably one of New Zealand's greatest coastal highway.  There are fantastic surfing breaks over the hill at Makorori Beach and plenty of game fishing adventures to experience at Arial Reef, just four miles offshore.

We have a range of affordable seaside accommodation options including sheltered campsites, log cabin, and a family cottage along with all the facilities you need for a relaxing vacation. Communal amenities are available for guests and these are wheelchair friendly.

POWERED CAMP SITES:

Tatapouri by the Sea Holiday Park has flat, grassy and spacious campsites to park your campervan, RV or caravan. There is plenty of room to spread out your holiday gear and park your car and boat. Camp sites feature great views of the Pacific Ocean. This is an absolute beachfront location.

NON POWERED CAMP SITES:

We have a number of spacious tent sites available on well looked after grass, offering a shelter from mature trees. From our campsites, you will get great views of the ocean as our location is absolute beachfront. The sites are 8m x 8m, so there is plenty of room for your tent and to spread out your things, and enough room left over to park your car or boat.

Here at Tatapouri by the Sea we have four quaint log cabins that can sleep up to three people. These are also perfect for that romantic weekend getaway! Our log cabins include a double bed with a single bunk above. There are also a fridge, cutlery, crockery and glassware with tea and coffee facilities. You can enjoy sea views from your own sunny deck.

Here at Tatapouri by the Sea we have four self contained family cabins that can accommodate up to four people comfortably. Sleeping space is organised with a double bed and set of single bunks. These cabins include a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, cutlery, crockery and glassware with tea and coffee facilities. Each cabin has a deck where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and sea view.

THE COTTAGE:

Tatapouri by the Sea features a newly refurbished one bedroom, self contained cottage offering accommodation for up to six people. One bedroom has a double bed and a set of bunks and there is a fold-out couch in the living area for extra sleeping or relaxing space.

THE PARKER HOME: 

Tatapouri by the Sea features a self contained “port-a-home”, offering accommodation for up to four people. There is a double bed and 2 single beds in the living room. Beds are made with a mattress protector and pillow with case; you can bring your own bed linen and towels or you can hire them from us.
